The Culinary Historians of San Diego (CHSD) was established in 2013 to provide the public with a history of food and drink and their roles in society, both locally and worldwide. The academic combines with the popular to have broad appeal to food enthusiasts. If you are a food enthusiast, member of the hospitality industry, or just plain interested in history, we have a place for you.

Join us at the San Diego Central Library Neil Morgan Auditorium on the 3rd Saturday of most months of the year. Refreshments served, too!

Culinary Historians of San Diego (CHSD) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Most gifts are 100 percent deductible as a charitable contribution under Federal and State income tax laws. Your membership dues make CHSD educational presentations possible and benefit the culinary collection of the San Diego Public Library. CHSD works with but is not affiliated with, the San Diego Public Library and the San Diego Public Library Foundation.
