“Modern Kosher,” by Michael Gardiner

The Culinary Historians of San Diego will present “Modern Kosher,” with Michael Gardiner, at 10:30 am October 16, in the Shiley Events Suite of the San Diego Central Library (ninth floor), 330 Park Blvd.

While most of us have a vague idea of kosher food, perhaps gleaned from a favorite Jewish deli, Michael Aaron Gardiner is here to flesh out the full picture. Rather than simply updating the story of those who “keep kosher,” he will guide us through this little understood cuisine from its early history to today’s varied and vibrant global practice.

A tasting and book signing will follow the presentation.

The event is free and open to the public.

The Culinary Historians of San Diego welcome you back to the Public library for free in-person public meetings!
